Harvey Nichols is seeking a new temporary Multichannel Assistant. As the new Multichannel Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of online and store order operations. Working closely with the Multichannel Team Manager, you will ensure the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders in line with Harvey Nichols standards. You will help maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and organisation within the multichannel areas, while delivering excellent service through timely order processing and careful stock handling. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence across all channels. Please note this is a TEMPORARY position and full time working 37.5 hours a week.

Team Support

  • Ensure that the behaviour is aligned with the standards required by the Group.
  • Provide high quality relevant feedback to the Line Manager.
  • Support the on-boarding of new team members ensuring they receive sufficient information about store operations policies and guidelines.
  • Encourage the exchange of knowledge within the team.
  • Report promptly absences, ensuring proper communication and coverage planning.
  • Attend regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support personal development, achievement of KPIs, and overall departmental improvement.
  • Follow the daily rota and lunch schedule to ensure proper coverage, effective planning of activities, and assignment of tasks.
  • Take responsibility for promptly reporting sickness absences in line with Harvey Nichols procedures and for planning holidays in advance to maintain smooth team operations.

Retail Operations

  • Ensure all the security tags are removed before dispatch to clients or before completing orders consolidation to DC.
  • Record all nil pick orders accurately on the relevant tracker.
  • Always maintain clear and organised workstations.
  • Categorise security tags and hand them over to the Loading Bay Team for return to DC.
  • Ensure all the scanners are returned at the end of each day and placed in charging docks ready to be used on the following day.
  • Aim to dispatch orders placed by 3pm the same day, meet the following KPIs:
    • 40% of volume picked within 4 hours
    • 95% of volume picked within 24 hours
    • 60% of units dispatched within 1 day
    • 90% of volume dispatched within 2 days
  • Ensure any returns are processed daily.
  • Report technical issues promptly through the relevant channels.
  • Provide clear and consistent feedback on items not located.
  • Ensure Multichannel and Farfetch rooms are tidy and well maintained.
  • Prioritise dispatch times according to client-selected shipment options (express or standard).
  • Ensure to be aligned on shop floor/stockroom brands relocations.
  • Ensure tickets are accurate and coordinate with stock controller team any reticketing activities.
  • Ensure all product dispatches comply with Harvey Nichols standards.
