With three exceptional dining venues situated on the eighth floor of one of London's most iconic landmarks, OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our thriving kitchen operation on the South Bank. About the role...

As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding five-star dining experience for our guests while inspiring and developing a high-performing kitchen team. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, service, and operational excellence.

What you will be doing...

  • Lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional food quality and consistency across all services.
  • Develop innovative menu ideas and work closely with the Executive Chef on seasonal menu planning and product development.
  • Ensure all chefs are trained, supported, and consistently working to the highest culinary standards.
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and development of kitchen team members in partnership with senior management.
  • Organise and delegate daily responsibilities across the kitchen brigade to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee the smooth running of all kitchen sections and maintain exceptional operational standards.
  • Monitor food costs, labour costs, and stock management to maximise profitability and support business objectives.
  • Provide informed recommendations and suggestions to the Executive Chef to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture, recognising and celebrating success within the team.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working patterns, including evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods.

About you...

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume, premium dining environment.
  • Strong culinary expertise with a genuine passion for food, ingredients, and innovation.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen financials, including food cost control and labour management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
