Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the Fourth Floor Brasserie in Leeds, a destination for modern luxury and elevated dining experiences. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our Restaurant and Bar. Supporting the Restaurant Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, leading and motivating a team, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, and responding proactively to customer needs which will be key to creating a vibrant and welcoming environment. Flexibility and passion for hospitality are essential, as you’ll be working in a fast-paced setting where excellence is celebrated every day.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and make their dining dreams a reality, providing a fun and enjoyable 5* experience. Your role will be:

  • To maintain standards of service throughout the Brasserie as laid down by the Manager;
  • To ensure productivity levels and sales are optimised;
  • To interview staff and make selection decisions;
  • To identify training requirements, and to organise and follow through on ‘on-job’ training;
  • To ensure all equipment is properly maintained to required levels;
  • To handle customer queries and complaints.

Provide expert advice whilst achieving maximum sales and delivering memorable customer experiences. Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service both face to face and over the phone or email. Develop a high level of product knowledge and share your opinions on current and future trends in the hospitality. Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it. Flexibility is a must; customer service can’t wait during weekends and evenings!

We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and food and are looking for something uniquely different. You will ideally have a successful high-end bar and restaurant background with proven experience supervising teams. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the food and beverage industry, especially cocktails (mixologist is a plus). Passion for beverage and keeping up to date with latest liquor.
