Harvey Nichols is looking for a Marketing PR and Events Manager to join the team at our Edinburgh Store, the home of modern luxury, innovation and the world’s most desirable designer brands. As the new Marketing PR & Events Manager for the Edinburgh store you will work collaboratively with the general manager and Head Office Senior Marketing, PR and Events team for the localised delivery of all events and central campaign messaging. You will be the key point of contact for all marketing, events and press activations within the store and will be responsible for the local governance of all local marketing, event and press activity, ensuring that all local activity reflects the Harvey Nichols brand image and is aligned with the Harvey Nichols brand guidelines and best practice.

About The Role

  • Manage the local details within the group master calendar, keeping the store team informed of all promotions and activity.
  • Guided by the group direction, manage the localisation of group marketing campaigns and family of business initiatives.
  • Work closely with the central marketing team and inline with best practice generate creative ideas driven by the Group Marketing calendar, translating global activity to the local level and establishing priorities and delivery of projects as appropriate.
  • Overall management of the operational delivery of all agreed store press and marketing incentives to include campaign monitoring and all reporting.
  • Liaise with and brief the central Creative team for the design and timely delivery of assets for all store specific activity.
  • Keeping abreast of all activity taking place in the city and identifying any brand appropriate opportunities.
  • Local management of any events approval via the central approval process.
  • Inline with the best practice event guidance set by Head Office manage all end to end VIC, customer, Press and Brand events including all areas of event management - promotion of the event, booking and liaising with third party suppliers, creating running orders, briefing creative and teams, managing the event, and evaluating and reporting on all activity.
  • Proactively drive editorial coverage in key pre-approved regional publications, media, and influencer channels and act as a point of contact for all regional press, influencers, and brands.
  • Copywriting for press releases and articles for local publications to be approved at a group level.
  • Identifying the marketing budget for the year and strategically prioritise for each quarter, managing the local budget inline the group strategy.
  • Full project management of agreed 360 pop up activations.
  • Supporting on the reporting of media campaigns, sharing data, images and updates to the central media team.
  • Liaise with the Store Marketing, Events and Press Executive to ensure store pages and regional content on the Harvey Nichols website is up to date.
  • Prepare regular business update presentations and reporting.

  • 5 years+ previous Marketing and events experience, executing successful campaigns.
  • Strong mathematical competency for sales/budget analysis and management.
  • Strong copy writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative and presentation skills.
  • Represent the brand values both internally and externally.
  • Passionate about customers, innovation, and the driving brand within the city.
  • Resilient, works well under pressure and can efficiently manage a busy workload.
  • Analytical and experience at reporting.
  • Strong creative and design judgement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
