Harvey Nichols is seeking an Alterations Assistant to join our Knightsbridge team, a destination for modern luxury, innovation, and cutting edge design. This is your opportunity to work with a curated selection of high‑end brands, delivering a seamless, elevated experience to our discerning clientele.

As Alterations Assistant, you will work within our Store Concierge Team to provide a personalised, client‑focused service, ensuring garments are fitted and finished to a high standard and delivered on time. The role requires a strong understanding of garment construction and the confidence to advise clients whilst working with a range of fabrics, including delicate or complex materials.

About the role

  • Conduct fittings for men’s and women’s garments, ensuring the highest standards of fit, comfort, and presentation.
  • Complete alterations accurately and within agreed deadlines, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare alteration dockets with pricing and concise instructions.
  • Update and maintain weekly worksheets to support workflow tracking and reporting.
  • Return completed alterations to the Quality Control rail for final checks.
  • Handle customer queries and occasional complaints with discretion, professionalism, and a client centric approach.
  • Book garments in for alteration as required, ensuring correct documentation and tracking.
