User Researcher – Contract Opportunity Harvey Nash is delighted to be working with a valued public sector client on an exciting User Researcher contract role. We\’re looking for a skilled User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary digital team, helping to shape user-centred services aligned with Scottish Government Service Standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a strategic digital transformation programme, working in an agile environment and engaging directly with users to improve service design and delivery. Key Details Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 months Location: Edinburgh – 2 days per week on-site Start Date: ASAP Role Overview You\’ll be responsible for: Leading user research activities across digital projects Creating and socialising user personas, journeys, and site maps Producing wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for feedback Conducting usability testing and user interviews Embedding test-and-learn practices across the organisation Collaborating with product, digital, and data teams Ensuring alignment with SG Digital Standards Skills & Experience Proven experience in agile user research within public sector or similar environments Strong understanding of Scottish Government Digital Standards Proficiency with design and collaboration tools Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Relevant certifications in research methodologies or Microsoft technologies
