We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to support a major AWS Cloud and Data Centre Migration programme for a leading organisation based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile transformation programme, overseeing end-to-end testing activities across multiple workstreams and third-party delivery partners during a large-scale cloud and infrastructure transformation. You will play a key role in ensuring programme-level test governance, delivery assurance, and stakeholder visibility across all phases of testing activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the overall test strategy and governance framework
  • Manage testing across AWS cloud migration and data centre migration activities
  • Provide programme-level test delivery oversight across multiple workstreams
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party delivery partners and vendors
  • Ensure quality assurance across functional, integration, infrastructure, regression, and UAT phases
  • Provide oversight and assurance of 3rd party testing activities across the programme
  • Drive defect management, risk mitigation, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with programme, infrastructure, network, DevOps, and business teams
  • Provide holistic management and coordination of testing activities delivered by Test Managers
  • Maintain clear visibility and assurance across end-to-end testing activities
  • Oversee task management and coordination of the Programme Test Team

You will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication, governance, and delivery management skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong experience delivering testing within AWS cloud migration programmes
  • Experience supporting data centre migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and offshore/onshore partners
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting experience
  • Good technical understanding of cloud, infrastructure, and network environments
  • Experience operating within Agile and hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong analytical, governance, and risk management capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Exposure to automation testing strategies and tooling
  • Experience within enterprise or regulated environments
  • ISTQB certification or similar testing qualifications
  • Experience working within complex banking or financial services environments
