Fantastic opportunity to join a thriving global banking business. The role will be part of a Markets Transformation and Program Execution Team responsible for ensuring the timely execution of deliverables related to Capital and RWA.
The candidate must demonstrate a self-starting attitude, an ability to understand complex concepts quickly and experience working with Markets products, technology and data across the end to end trading and capital calculation process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define, organise and oversee delivery for new regulatory and internal strategic requirements for RWA calculations for Markets products, taking accountability to drive work on behalf of sponsors.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to project delivery, working on a daily basis with functional and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, correctly implemented and delivered to plan.
- Lead working groups and workshops with stakeholders to break down deliverables, understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines.
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Business, Finance Transformation and Technology teams.
- Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risks and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders.
- Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise.
- Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artefacts, tailoring to various forums and committees.
- Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs.
Required Skills:
- Senior programme management skills in a Markets Capital context.
- Familiarity with Markets products, particularly derivatives and secured financing as well as fixed income products.
- Demonstrable experience of daily management and tracking of technical and operational transformation with ability to identify potential risks/issues and escalate appropriately.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to engage, inform and persuade senior stakeholders through discussion and presentations.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of software delivery lifecycle and to coordinate end to end delivery across teams.
- Self-starting with the ability to multitask, prioritise and proactively seek out teams and individuals across the organisation to help unblock issues.
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to track multiple workstreams/projects at once.
- 10 years+ relevant delivery experience.
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and end to end processing, as well as different functions within Capital Markets and how they interact.
- Business SME or business management skills in one or more Markets product areas, particularly derivatives or SFTs.
