Our client is a well known brand within the Utilities sector and they are embarking on an exciting new phase of their evolution. Driven by changes to the utilities market operating environment alongside huge advances in Technology, our client is working to their new Target Operating Model and need an Executive level Energy market specialist to join their ExCo and help the business effectively deliver against their enterprise strategy.

As such the successful candidate must have extensive energy market experience and strong commercial nous, enabling them to influence and drive enterprise level decisions on risk, value optimisation and future positioning of our client within the energy sector. This is so much more than a standard delivery role - this is an ExCo Leadership opportunity also offering the possibility of going permanent longer term (if of interest).

  • Demonstrate a deep and practical understanding of UK/ Irish energy markets.
  • Background in strategy, transformation or commercial leadership.
  • Confidence leading executive level conversations on energy market.
  • Strong commercial mindset: ability to assess risk, value creation, downside exposure and optimisation strategies in real world conditions.
  • Experience operating at the intersection of strategy, commercial decision-making and transformation.
  • Credibility balancing long term positioning with near term delivery and performance.
  • Understanding of technology-enabled change (digital, data, automation, AI) in an energy or adjacent regulated environment.
