Harvey Nash is now recruiting for a Housing Strategy Manager. This role would suit candidates with experience in housing, urban planning, real estate development or related sectors. To apply you must have a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic programmes.

Inside of IR35 – Umbrella only £500 - £550 a day. Initial 6 months Hybrid, offices available in Perth, Glasgow or Aberdeen.

Support a major infrastructure upgrade with a critical need to develop sustainable housing and accommodation solutions across rural northern Scotland for our clients' workers. Lead the development and delivery of this high-profile strategy, ensuring the organisation can effectively house its growing workforce while leaving a positive, long-term legacy for local communities.

The Role

This is a senior, strategic leadership position responsible for shaping and delivering a comprehensive housing and accommodation strategy. You will lead a small team of specialists and consultants, working across a complex stakeholder landscape to develop practical, scalable housing solutions aligned to organisational and regional priorities.

Key experience required:

  • Significant experience in housing, urban planning, real estate development or related sectors
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic programmes
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Extensive experience engaging with stakeholders at local and national level
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen, including negotiating complex agreements
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Ability to drive delivery at pace across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Business Administration or a related discipline is highly desirable.
