We're supporting a large public sector organisation undergoing significant digital transformation as they continue to modernise and enhance services used at a national and international level.
They're looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join a growing technology team building secure, scalable and user-focused digital platforms.

The Role
As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining modern web applications while contributing to technical strategy and best practice across the wider development function.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing enterprise-scale applications in a cloud-first environment.
- Building modern front-end solutions using React, Next. js and Node. js.
- Creating intuitive user experiences that integrate with RESTful APIs.
- Collaborating with engineers, testers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Driving improvements across performance, security and scalability.
- Supporting cloud-native development and Dev Ops practices.
- Contributing to architectural discussions around microservices and modern software design patterns.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with developers who have
- Strong commercial experience with React.
- Experience developing applications with Next. js.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Exposure to Azure cloud technologies.
- Experience with Git and Azure Dev Ops.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery environments.
- Understanding of modern architecture principles including microservices.
- Outstanding Civil Service pension with a
28.97% employer contribution .
- Hybrid working with only 20% onsite attendance required.
- Flexible working arrangements and no core hours.
- 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with service.
