Role – NOC Engineer

Location – Staffordshire (Hybrid)

I’m looking for a motivated Associate NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid 2nd line experience who’s ready to step up, develop their technical skills, and support the stability and performance of our clients’ systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor services through our RMM platform and upscale alerts appropriately
• Support tuning and optimisation of monitoring and alerting
• Assist with managing backups, resolving failures, and completing restores
• Help maintain patching schedules for servers and end-user devices
• Support firmware / software updates and infrastructure maintenance
• Monitor storage solutions and contribute to monthly reporting
• Update documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
• Assist with network security, certificates, and firewall changes
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients

Skills required

• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop / server environments
• Good understanding of LAN / WAN technologies and SAN basics
• Experience with AD, GPOs, Exchange, O365, RDS / Citrix
• Familiarity with backup solutions, DNS / DHCP, and PowerShell
• 2–3 years’ IT support experience (2nd line level desirable)
• A-Level education or equivalent
