Global Financial Services Organisation - Enterprise AI Programme

Harvey Nash is proud to be partnered with a leading financial institution who is investing heavily in an enterprise-wide AI Accelerator programme and is seeking a VP-level Enterprise AI Architect to provide technical leadership, clarity and direction at a critical stage.
You will provide overall strategic architecture leadership for AI, operating at enterprise scale within a high-profile, well-funded programme under senior executive scrutiny. This is a strategy-led role (c.70/30), focused on defining direction, enabling delivery and ensuring governance rather than hands-on build. You will operate comfortably in ambiguity, bringing structure, confidence and challenge where the AI agenda is still forming.
Key Responsibilities- Define and govern the target enterprise AI and data architecture and transition roadmap
- Provide senior technical leadership across AI/ML platforms, GenAI capabilities, data and cloud infrastructure
- Establish and enforce AI architecture and governance frameworks aligned to risk and regulation
- Guide engineering teams and challenge third-party vendors on scalable, compliant AI solutions
- Act as a senior interface across Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance and Executive stakeholders
- Provide clear updates, guidance and decision support to senior leadership forums
- Proven Enterprise / Chief / Lead Architect experience in large-scale or regulated environments
- Strong background in AI/ML architecture, platforms and enterprise data foundations
- Experience applying EA frameworks to AI-led transformation programmes
- Broad cloud and hybrid architecture experience (AWS, Azure, private cloud)
- Credibility and gravitas to operate at VP level and influence senior decision-makers
- One of the organisation's highest-priority technology programmes
- Significant funding, autonomy and executive sponsorship
