You will be responsible for developing secure, performant, and maintainable features, working across both front-end and back-end elements of the system.This role is suitable for developers with a strong foundation in .NET and cloud-native engineering, and offers scope to grow technical ownership within a supportive, delivery-focused team. You\’ll be working in an environment that values collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, test, and deploy robust software components using modern development tools and approaches.Contribute to the evolution of the platform\’s services and infrastructure, ensuring performance, resilience, and security.Support and extend CI/CD pipelines and contribute to the automation of deployment and testing processes.Participate in design discussions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical reviews.Deliver working, testable, and well-documented code aligned with project timelines and coding standards.Proactively identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, or technical debt.Collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, Architecture, and Product teams to align technical implementation with business requirements.Take ownership of development tasks from estimation through to deployment.Required Technical ExperienceProficiency in C#, .NET, and MVC frameworks.Experience developing scalable web applications and APIs.Hands-on exposure to AWS (required) and Azure (desirable) cloud platforms.Familiarity with Terraform, GitHub, and YAML configuration.Experience working with Docker containers and basic container orchestration (e.g. ECS).Exposure to MongoDB or other non-relational databases.Understanding of CI/CD tooling and workflow automation using GitHub Actions or similar.Sound knowledge of version control, branching strategies, and secure software development principles.Ways of Working & Stakeholder EngagementAble to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary delivery team.Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments, using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.Good communication skills with the ability to raise issues early and contribute ideas constructively.Comfortable working with loosely defined requirements and contributing to solution shaping.Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude to problem solving.This role is ideal for an experienced Developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, thrives in delivery-led environments, and is motivated by the opportunity to work on high-profile government platforms.Apply now to join a high-performing team and make a tangible impact on a critical national platform.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type ContractJob function Information TechnologyIndustries IT Services and IT Consulting
