Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Capability & Workforce Planning Lead. An initial six month contract, inside of IR35. Daily rate of £800 - £1000 a day Hybrid to an office in Reading Umbrella set up.

The Role:

  • Lead the capability and workforce planning workstream within a major IT transformation programme, ensuring the organisation has the skills, structure, and ways of working needed to deliver its technology strategy.
  • Establish a clear, evidence-based understanding of current capability across a large IT function, define future capability requirements, and drive targeted initiatives to address identified skills and capability gaps.
  • Work closely with HR and senior technology stakeholders to support the design and implementation of enterprise-wide job families aligned, develop structured technical learning and development frameworks, and establish certification and competency standards across key roles.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical capability to assess workforce data and capability gaps.
  • Experience presenting workforce insights and transformation plans to senior stakeholders.
  • In depth knowledge of the concepts and principles of project management, planning, time management and project leadership.
  • Organisational awareness with ability to operate with confidence and credibility across all functions of the organisation.
  • Proficient user of all Microsoft systems, including; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, & MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and explain management information clearly to senior leaders.
