  • Title: Data Business Analyst
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Location: probably London but open to Cardiff, Salford, Glasgow etc.
  • Hybrid: 1-2 days required in the office, along with occasional travel to other client sites as required

Essential:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets.
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, including building models from scratch.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in scenario planning, financial forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Ability to think creatively and “outside the box” to solve problems and optimize processes.
  • Solid financial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
  • Strong communication skills to present insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with poorly structured data and improving data quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to effectively delegate, manage your own time and prioritise accordingly.
  • Able to simplify complex problems into component parts and deal with them systematically.
  • Significant experience in one or more data scripting languages (such as Python, R or SQL) or tooling relevant to the specifics of the role.
  • Proven experience developing relationships and managing needs of senior stakeholders at Director level.
