Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Chief Finance Officer. This is a part time role at 3 days a week, for a 12-month period.
Inside of IR35 £400 - £450 a day. Periodic meetings onsite in Aberdeen (once every second month).
This role would suit someone who has leadership experience within a public sector organisation in Scotland.
The role: Your primary role is to provide strategic leadership necessary to secure ongoing financial sustainability, long-term stability, and robust governance for our client's organisation.
Essential Criteria:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) with current membership of a recognised professional body.
- Demonstrable success in delivering financial recovery, efficiency programmes, or major financial change initiatives.
- Skilled in translating financial plans into delivery, monitoring impact, and maintaining rigorous oversight.
- Strong influencing, collaboration, and communication skills, with confidence in advising senior leaders and board members.
- Strategic thinker with a practical delivery focus and strong personal credibility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, board members and budget holders on financial performance.
