We are looking for an experienced Head of Credit Risk to lead the credit risk function for a growing lending fintech.
This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for credit strategy, risk appetite, underwriting, portfolio performance and credit decisioning. You’ll work closely with Product, Commercial, Data, Technology and Collections to optimise risk-adjusted returns and support responsible growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop credit risk strategy, policies and underwriting frameworks.
- Define risk appetite, lending criteria, portfolio limits and KRIs.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks.
- Improve credit models, scorecards and decisioning processes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing credit risk team.
- Work cross-functionally to improve lending products and customer outcomes.
- Use data and analytics to drive credit decisions and portfolio performance.
Key Requirements
- Credit risk experience within financial services.
- Previous experience leading a credit risk team.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, underwriting and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Knowledge of credit risk modelling and statistical analysis.
- Small business lending experience is desirable.
