Senior Systems Data Specialist – Manufacturing
We’re looking for a Senior Systems Data Specialist to develop and deliver the digital and data strategy for a leading manufacturing organisation.
The role will focus on maximising the value of existing systems, identifying and implementing new technology, improving data integrity and management information, and driving digital transformation across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the digital strategy, aligned with business objectives and Group IT standards.
- Review current systems, assessing utilisation, gaps, improvements and enhancements.
- Develop business cases for new systems, supporting selection, implementation and adoption.
- Lead data management, including data integrity, data capture, analysis and Management Information.
- Drive improvements in BI, reporting, forecasting and data-driven decision making.
- Manage systems integration, EDI and data flows across customers, suppliers and 3PL partners.
- Support external stakeholders with forecasting, customer portals and digital solutions.
- Interface with Group IT to ensure local systems align with wider technology strategy.
- Identify Group best practice for local adoption and promote successful local solutions across the Group.
- Improve SLA delivery through better systems, data and supplier/service management.
- Build strong relationships across IT, Commercial, Operations and Technical teams to fast-track project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through data, automation and digital technology.
Key Experience
- Strong background in data, systems, digital or IT, ideally within manufacturing.
- Experience developing a digital / systems strategy.
- Proven experience across data management, BI, reporting and systems integration.
- Experience assessing existing systems and delivering gap analysis, business cases and system implementations.
- Strong understanding of data integrity, data capture, analysis and Management Information.
- Experience working with Group IT and external stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, project delivery and communication skills.
- Experience with forecasting, inventory, supply chain or customer-facing systems would be highly desirable.
