Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Telecommunications Obsolescence Lead, a 12-month contract role.
Hybrid working (2-3 days a week onsite) South England or central belt of Scotland – 3 days a week Inside of IR35/ Umbrella only £490 - £530
Work on a time critical estate obsolescence programme to address the withdrawal of legacy PSTN/ISDN services across the UK and ageing telephony platforms. You will be accountable for defining, governing and approving telephony risk mitigation approaches, working closely with delivery, suppliers, and site stakeholders. The role operates in parallel with a Delivery Manager, with a strong focus on dependency management and coordinated execution.
Essential Experience
- Senior level experience in enterprise or industrial telecommunications environments.
- Proven involvement in PSTN / ISDN withdrawal, legacy PBX retirement, or large-scale voice platform transition.
- Deep understanding of:
- PBX platforms (e.g. Avaya, Mitel)
- SIP trunking, SBCs, media gateways, and analogue survivability
- Voice resilience, QoS, and failover concepts
