Harvey Nash's Public Sector Client are looking to bring in a contract Training and Adoption Lead to work with our Digital Transformation team. Your core focus will be supporting a new Business Information Transformation Programme. This strategic initiative is modernising how they manage, access, govern, and use corporate information, with Microsoft 365 at its core.
Other Responsibilities
- The Training and Adoption Lead will design and deliver a comprehensive training and adoption framework, defining the methodology, approaches, best practices, and processes for driving adoption and training for the BIT programme.
- Lead the design and delivery of the BIT Programme's training and adoption strategy, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and workstreams.
- Assess current and future training needs, and develop recommendations for the structure, size, and skillset of the training team required to support the programme's phased rollout and ongoing adoption.
- Develop and deliver guidance and training materials, deliver workshops and webinars tailored to staff roles and departmental needs.
- Define and implement approaches for measuring training effectiveness and staff adoption (e.g., participation rates, feedback, tool usage data).
- Collaborate with workstream leads, communications, and change management teams to ensure consistent messaging and support.
- Support early adopter departments, gather feedback, and refine training approaches for wider rollout.
- Provide expert advice on embedding new ways of working, including data-driven decision-making, automation, and AI adoption.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience designing and delivering training and adoption approaches for large-scale digital and data programmes, ideally in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Experience leading a training and adoption workstream or similar function, including defining training strategies, approaches, and success measures.
- Ability to recommend the optimal training team structure and resource requirements to deliver the BIT Programme's objectives, including identifying the necessary roles, skills mix, and capacity for effective training delivery and support.
- Strong understanding of change management, user adoption, and communications in the context of digital transformation.
- Ability to develop and deliver scenario-based, role-specific training and guidance materials (including but not limited to Microsoft Learning Pathways).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of working collaboratively across departments and with technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience of developing and providing training for and adoption of M365 productivity applications.
- Qualifications in or relevant experience of applying adoption methodologies in real world scenarios.
