A global leading consultancy business is investing heavily in Data and AI and is building out a high-impact team focused on designing and delivering next-generation data platforms and AI-driven solutions. This is a chance to play a key role in shaping how organisations harness data to unlock real commercial value. You will work on complex, high-profile programmes, helping clients modernise their data estates whilst enabling advanced analytics and AI at scale. You will be part of a collaborative, product-focused environment where architects, engineers and AI specialists work side by side to deliver tangible outcomes, not just strategy.
You will contribute to, and in more senior cases lead, the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data architectures that underpin analytics, AI and digital transformation programmes. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing end-to-end data architectures, covering ingestion, modelling, integration, governance and data serving across cloud platforms
- Shaping architecture strategies including data modelling standards, lineage, data quality, metadata and master data management
- Supporting and leading architectural discovery, defining data workstreams and delivery approaches across Azure, AWS, GCP and Snowflake
- Working within cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, AI specialists and business stakeholders, to design and assure scalable data solutions
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand business challenges, define requirements and recommend technology solutions aligned to value and ROI
- Translating architecture designs into practical delivery, working closely with engineering teams across pipelines, integrations and platform services
- Contributing to data strategy, operating models and roadmap development to support long-term transformation
You will bring a blend of strong technical capability and consulting expertise, with experience across:
- Architecture and Delivery
- Designing and delivering enterprise data architectures across the full lifecycle
- Building data models, pipelines and semantic layers in complex environments
- Working across structured and unstructured data platforms in cloud ecosystems
- Data Management and Governance
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, quality frameworks and master data management
- Experience embedding these principles within modern data platforms
- Technology and Tools
- Data modelling expertise, ideally with tools such as Erwin or ER Studio
- Experience integrating data from core enterprise systems, for example SAP, Oracle, Salesforce or Workday
- Knowledge of ETL processes and cloud-native data storage and processing services
- Exposure to MDM tools such as Informatica, or API integration using JSON and tools such as MuleSoft is advantageous
- Consulting and Stakeholder Engagement
- Proven ability to work in client-facing roles, building trusted relationships
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to link technical decisions to business value
- Experience evaluating technology options and articulating trade-offs and ROI
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to Agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban
- Certifications in data or enterprise architecture, for example TOGAF or cloud certifications
- Experience developing data strategies, operating models or governance frameworks
- Experience designing data platforms that support AI, including emerging use cases such as agentic AI
