The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior User Researcher to join a growing digital transformation team delivering impactful public sector programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams, helping shape services through evidence-led research and user-centred design. You'll collaborate with service designers, product managers, business analysts, delivery managers and technical specialists to ensure services are designed around real user needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading user research across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases.
- Planning and conducting interviews, usability testing, workshops and contextual research.
- Synthesising research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Supporting product, service and delivery decisions through evidence-based research.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary Agile teams.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience delivering User Research within digital transformation or service improvement programmes.
- Strong Public Sector or Government experience is essential.
- Excellent understanding of GDS principles, Service Standards and User-Centred Design.
- Experience delivering a range of qualitative research methods.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.
