Interim Ecommerce Director
6 month day rate contract
Hybrid 3 days per week on site in Leeds
Harvey Nash are proud to partner with a large-scale retail organisation who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ecommerce Director on an interim basis for 6 months; to lead the next stage of its digital transformation. This is a high-impact leadership role, responsible for driving commercial growth, customer acquisition, and innovation across web and app platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a customer-centric eCommerce strategy aligned with wider business goals
- Lead a high-performing team of c.30 FTE across eCommerce and digital marketing
- Own commercial performance across digital channels, improving conversion, UX/UI, personalisation, and customer journeys
- Oversee a multi-million-pound acquisition budget, optimising CPA and marketing ROI
- Develop and deliver a robust product roadmap for digital platforms
- Champion and enhance data-driven decision-making via analytics, CRO, SEO, tagging and performance insights
- Ensure regulatory compliance and brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end digital experiences
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on digital priorities
About You:
- Proven experience in senior eCommerce leadership roles (D2C, digital services or retail)
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record in growth, customer conversion, and retention
- Deep expertise in UX, CRO, analytics, SEO, and digital product development
- Inspirational leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences and leading high-performing teams
