You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality data models and datamarts that support analytical and reporting needs. You will translate business requirements into scalable, performant, and well-structured data models that enable efficient consumption in Power BI and other reporting tools. Working as part of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team, you will ensure that data structures are robust, governed, and aligned with organisational data standards and architecture principles.
Essential Skills Knowledge:
- Demonstrable experience of designing and developing dimensional data models and datamarts to support reporting and analytics use cases.
- Translating business requirements and user stories into logical and physical data models aligned to reporting needs.
- Applying best-practice dimensional modelling techniques to optimise usability and performance.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines and transformations deliver clean, reliable, and appropriately structured data.
- Defining and maintaining data definitions, metadata, and data dictionaries to support consistent understanding and reuse.
- Ensuring data models are optimised for Power BI consumption, including considerations for performance, aggregation.
