Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Director, Business & Legal Affairs to join the legal team supporting Warner Bros. Games, a global leader in interactive entertainment. This is a senior, highly commercial in-house role partnering closely with game development studios, publishing, marketing and distribution teams across UK, EMEA and the US.
What you’ll do:
- Draft, review and negotiate video game production and development agreements, including external development, vendor and talent contracts.
- Support global marketing, advertising, influencer and brand partnership campaigns.
- Advise on technology and software licensing, including open-source matters.
- Support international distribution and platform licensing of WB Games titles.
- Act as the legal point of contact for UK game studios, providing day-to-day commercial support.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters, including online safety, digital services, AI legislation and product compliance.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues across Warner Bros. Discovery on cross-divisional initiatives and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
- UK (or equivalent) qualified lawyer.
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, gained in-house and/or at a top law firm.
- Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.
- Background in video games, media, entertainment, technology or software strongly preferred.
- Confident working autonomously on complex, cross-border matters.
- Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
