Harvey Nash is proud to be partnered with a leading financial institution who is investing heavily in an enterprise‑wide AI Accelerator programme and is seeking a VP‑level Enterprise AI Architect to provide technical leadership, clarity and direction at a critical stage.

You will provide overall strategic architecture leadership for AI, operating at enterprise scale within a high‑profile, well‑funded programme under senior executive scrutiny. This is a strategy‑led role (c.70/30), focused on defining direction, enabling delivery and ensuring governance rather than hands‑on build. You will operate comfortably in ambiguity, bringing structure, confidence and challenge where the AI agenda is still forming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and govern the target enterprise AI and data architecture and transition roadmap
  • Provide senior technical leadership across AI/ML platforms, GenAI capabilities, data and cloud infrastructure
  • Establish and enforce AI architecture and governance frameworks aligned to risk and regulation
  • Guide engineering teams and challenge third‑party vendors on scalable, compliant AI solutions
  • Act as a senior interface across Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance and Executive stakeholders
  • Provide clear updates, guidance and decision support to senior leadership forums
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Enterprise / Chief / Lead Architect experience in large‑scale or regulated environments
  • Strong background in AI/ML architecture, platforms and enterprise data foundations
  • Experience applying EA frameworks to AI‑led transformation programmes
  • Broad cloud and hybrid architecture experience (AWS, Azure, private cloud)
  • Credibility and gravitas to operate at VP level and influence senior decision‑makers
Why This Opportunity
  • One of the organisation’s highest‑priority technology programmes
  • Significant funding, autonomy and executive sponsorship
  • Rare chance to set AI direction at enterprise scale

If you are a senior enterprise architect looking to shape AI strategy at scale and operate at the heart of a flagship transformation programme, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
