We're looking for an experienced SC Cleared User Researcher to join a high-profile public sector digital programme on an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary agile team, helping shape user-centred digital services that make a real impact.
The Role
As the User Researcher, you'll be responsible for planning and conducting research that ensures products and services are designed around genuine user needs. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, business analysts and developers to turn research insights into actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research.
- Identify user needs and behaviours through interviews, usability testing, surveys and workshops.
- Analyse research findings and present clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Work collaboratively within agile delivery teams.
- Advocate for user-centred design throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support service design and product development with ongoing research and insight.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (required to start the role).
- Proven experience as a User Researcher on digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) principles and standards.
- Experience planning and facilitating user research sessions.
- Ability to communicate complex findings to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

- Location: Remote with occasional travel to Leeds
