Public Sector We are looking for an experienced
Product Manager
to join a large public sector organisation on an initial 6-month contract. You will take ownership of the development and delivery of digital products and services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to ensure products are driven by genuine user needs and deliver measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on Product Manager role requiring someone comfortable operating in a complex environment, balancing user, organisational and technical requirements while setting a clear product vision and direction.
Key Responsibilities
Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
Lead products through the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery and continuous improvement.
Understand user needs and translate these into clear product priorities and outcomes.
Develop, maintain and prioritise product backlogs.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Delivery, Business Analysis, User Research, Service Design, UX and Engineering.
Engage with senior stakeholders, building consensus and managing competing priorities.
Use data, user research and evidence to inform product decisions.
Define product goals, success measures and KPIs and monitor product performance.
Identify dependencies, risks and opportunities across the wider programme and organisation.
Champion agile, user-centred ways of working and support continuous improvement across the team.
About You
We are looking for someone with: Demonstrable experience working as a
Product Manager within complex digital environments .
Strong experience of agile product development and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing products across different stages of the product lifecycle.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong understanding of user-centred design and evidence-led product development.
Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised backlogs.
The ability to operate effectively in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the ability to create momentum and remove barriers.
Previous public sector and/or GDS experience would be highly advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to work on meaningful digital services within a high-profile public sector environment. Contract:
