We're looking for an experienced Lead Network Engineer to take ownership of network and connectivity services across a complex enterprise and Operational Technology (OT) environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead network transformation projects, provide senior technical support, mentor junior engineers, and deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support enterprise and OT network environments
- Act as the senior 3rd line escalation point for complex network issues
- Deliver network migration, transformation, and infrastructure modernisation projects
- Design, implement, and support fibre optic and enterprise networking solutions
- Drive service improvements, performance optimisation, and operational resilience
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams on strategic initiatives
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
- Ensure networks remain secure, compliant, and highly available
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in a senior Network Engineer or Network Lead position
- Aruba and Fortinet networking expertise
- Experience within OT / industrial network environments
- LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, routing and switching technologies
- Fibre optic network design, deployment, and support
- Network security, segmentation, and firewall management
- Experience delivering network migrations and transformation programmes
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
