We are seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Amazon Connect contact centre solutions for a wide range of clients. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role for someone with deep AWS expertise, strong contact centre knowledge, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure solutions. You will work across multiple AWS services, integrate third‑party platforms, and provide architectural direction throughout delivery. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham 3 days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design robust, scalable Amazon Connect architectures including call flows, IVR, chatbots, and integrations with AWS services and third‑party systems.
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Amazon Connect projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Continuously review and enhance Amazon Connect configurations to improve performance, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentoring to junior architects and developers.
  • Produce clear architecture designs, implementation documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Deliver training sessions for internal teams and clients to support successful adoption.
  • Ensure all solutions meet relevant security standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience designing and deploying Amazon Connect contact centre solutions.
  • Strong background in cloud architecture with hands‑on AWS experience.
  • Expertise in AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, and CloudFormation.
  • In‑depth knowledge of telephony, VoIP, IVR, and contact centre technologies.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Zendesk) and system integration best practices.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional); Amazon Connect certifications are an advantage.
