My client is looking for an experienced D365 CE Functional Team Lead to join their growing Microsoft practice in Birmingham. This role will focus on leading the delivery of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform projects while supporting and developing a team of consultants.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal delivery teams to drive successful digital transformation programmes from initial scoping through to deployment and support handover. Alongside project delivery, the role will involve mentoring junior consultants, conducting regular 1:1s, and contributing to the continued growth of the D365 practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of D365 CE projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Manage and mentor consultants, junior team members, and apprentices.
  • Run workshops, gather requirements, and design D365 CE solutions aligned to business needs.
  • Support solution configuration, testing, training, and user adoption activities.
  • Assist with pre-sales activities including demonstrations, estimations, and statements of work.
  • Manage smaller implementation projects, including budgets, resources, and milestone reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with functional, technical, and PMO teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build strong customer relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Promote best practice across Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform delivery.
Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
  • Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM solutions.
  • Previous experience leading teams or mentoring consultants.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end D365 CE implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 CE configuration and Power Platform technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Desirable
  • Experience working within a Microsoft Partner environment.
  • Experience delivering complex business transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate, Power BI, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience within sectors such as Higher Education, Housing, or Local Government.
