Harvey Nash's public sector client is looking for a Housing/Project Officer to support the delivery of a new-build affordable housing programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of new-build housing projects from inception to completion
  • Liaise with statutory bodies, developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with procurement, budgeting, and financial monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, building regulations, and grant requirements
  • Support grant funding applications and claims
  • Attend design team and site meetings and assist in managing consultants and contractors
  • Support handover, defects management, and post-completion reviews

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Experience delivering new build housing projects
  • Experience working within a social housing environment
  • Knowledge of construction legislation and housing grant funding
  • Strong communication, organisational, and report writing skills

Desirable:

  • Construction-related qualification (e.g. Project Management, QS, Architecture, Planning)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • Experience of procurement and development viability assessment
