Harvey Nash's public sector client is looking for a Housing/Project Officer to support the delivery of a new-build affordable housing programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of new-build housing projects from inception to completion
- Liaise with statutory bodies, developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with procurement, budgeting, and financial monitoring
- Ensure compliance with design standards, building regulations, and grant requirements
- Support grant funding applications and claims
- Attend design team and site meetings and assist in managing consultants and contractors
- Support handover, defects management, and post-completion reviews
Essential Requirements:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
- Experience delivering new build housing projects
- Experience working within a social housing environment
- Knowledge of construction legislation and housing grant funding
- Strong communication, organisational, and report writing skills
Desirable:
- Construction-related qualification (e.g. Project Management, QS, Architecture, Planning)
