Join a team of skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing our large scale, globally deployed RedHat Linux-based platform. Develop and maintain components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure. Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects. Add features, manage, and tune configuration, and perform deep-level troubleshooting of the existing Linux platform management systems and Linux O/S configuration and builds. Input to the design and implementation of new solutions to support the fast-paced, dynamic needs of the business.
Essential Skills Experience:
- Expert knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols.
- Experience of using any modern config management system (examples such as Salt Stack, Puppet, or Chef) to automate management of a large-scale Linux deployment.
- Ability to write robust, maintainable code.
