Information Systems Services (ISS) is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior AV/IT Engineer (Teaching and Events) to join our Campus IT team within Service Management and Delivery Section.
The role is primarily based on the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide second‑line support for the University’s IT and audio‑visual services, focusing on teaching spaces, event venues and conference facilities.
- Support the delivery of key University events by working closely with internal colleagues, external suppliers and contractors to implement and commission technical solutions.
- Implement and commission technical solutions as part of teaching space upgrades, refurbishments and new installations.
- Ensure high‑quality experiences for staff, students and visitors by maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, audio systems, video collaboration solutions and presentation technologies.
- Collaborate with teams to provide a strong, user‑focused service to the user community.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a team‑based IT service environment.
- Experience with PC and AV systems.
- Strong audio‑visual, IT and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent user‑focus, ensuring outstanding service to staff, students and visitors.
