Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant - 6 month - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Rate: DOE

Purpose:

Temporary support for our debtor's team, handling customer queries posting receipts to customer accounts and financial administrative duties.

Description of role

• a. Provide business support to a team or functional area in accordance with clients systems and procedures.
• b. Respond to and handle routine correspondence and general enquiries from members of the public, regulated bodies, suppliers, contractors and internal customers electronically or verbally.
• c. Pass information and queries received to the correct part (or parts) of the organisation to allow the client to fulfil its statutory functions and obligations.
• d. Input, maintain and interrogate records and systems both manually and electronically in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements such as processing applications for licences and issue of appropriate statutory notices.
• e. Respond to, or assist in the response to, external and internal queries in accordance with agreed deadlines or Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
• f. Carry out basic financial checks/reconciliation, order basic supplies.
• g. Fully adhere and comply with Health & Safety Policy.

Essential Skills, Competences or qualifications

• a. Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 4-5 qualification (eg National 4/5 school qualification).
• b. Ability to interpret information and process it according to standard operating guidelines and procedures.
• c. Competent written and oral communications skills.
• d. Demonstrate good team working skills as well as a flexible approach to work activities.
