Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Financial Controller, a six month fixed term contract. This is a key hire for our public sector client, you'll be responsible for designing and developing our clients financial strategies, policies and processes in a greenfield environment. Hybrid working in Aberdeen - up to 3 days a week.
Essential Criteria:
- Fully Qualified with CCAB, CIMA or equivalent.
- Evidence of strong technical knowledge of financial accounting standards, particularly in relation to Financial Instruments (IFRS 9).
- Experience of delivering an excellent finance service, particularly the collation and presentation of financial year-end accounts and information to auditors in an organisation that comes under public scrutiny.
- Preparing of accounting papers and providing detailed technical accounting advice.
- Evidence of knowledge of UK tax requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
