Senior Kotlin Developer – Front Office/Kubernetes – sought by investment bank based in London – Hybrid – Contract

*Inside IR35*

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back End components of a next-gen trading platform.
• Work with Java and/or Kotlin to deliver robust solutions.
• Deploy containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Leverage MongoDB and Databricks for data processing and analytics.
• Integrate with relational databases and support Legacy data migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and optimisation.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of Back End development experience in financial systems.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with MongoDB and Databricks.
• Familiarity with relational databases (eg, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD, and unit testing.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Awareness of financial regulations and compliance.
• Agile development experience.
