Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Consultant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Consultant to join our Cloud Services team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on designing, delivering and optimising enterprise-scale Azure Virtual Desktop solutions for a range of customers.
You will work across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through to implementation, migration, testing and operational handover, acting as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts, application delivery and image management.
- Deliver secure, scalable Azure solutions aligned with customer requirements and Microsoft best practices.
- Implement and support Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure networking and security services.
- Configure and troubleshoot FSLogix profile solutions.
- Automate deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell.
- Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps practices using Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Lead customer workshops, technical assessments and design sessions.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and support successful service transitions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing and delivering Azure Virtual Desktop solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management experience.

- Azure Infrastructure & Networking
- FSLogix
- PowerShell
- Experience producing technical designs, implementation documentation and customer-facing deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Certifications are preferred.
