The Salesforce Developer sits within the Technology team and is responsible for the design, development and ongoing enhancement of the Salesforce platform.

The role plays a key part in enabling business teams across Investments, Asset Management, Servicing and Corporate Functions to operate efficiently through scalable, secure and high-performing CRM solutions.

Working closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts and Architects, the Salesforce Developer will translate requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the group's enterprise architecture, governance standards and strategic objectives.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Design, develop and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce and declarative tools.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
  • Configure and maintain standard and custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules and flows.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and internal/external systems using APIs and middleware platforms.
  • Develop and manage data models, ensuring data integrity, security and performance optimisation.
  • Support deployment activities across environments using Dev Ops tools and CI/CD pipelines. Conduct unit testing, system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing timely and effective support to users.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, coding standards and governance frameworks.
  • Contribute to release planning, sprint ceremonies and agile delivery processes.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce platform updates and recommend enhancements to maximise platform capability.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce configuration.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture and security model.
  • Experience with Dev Ops tools and version control systems (e. g. Git, Azure Dev Ops).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (essential); additional certifications desirable.
  • Experience within financial services or regulated environments is advantageous.
