This is a senior technical role responsible for leading backend application development initiatives and driving architectural decisions for robust, scalable, and high-performance server-side systems.

This role provides hands‑on leadership in building enterprise-grade Java backend solutions, guiding development teams, and influencing technical strategy and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of complex backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of backend components, from architectural design and coding to deployment and operational support.
  • Drive architectural decisions for backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Resolve high-impact technical challenges related to backend performance, data integrity, and distributed system interactions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level backend developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define system enhancements, integrate with other systems, and implement strategic backend solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and scalability of backend applications through rigorous testing and review processes.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in Java backend application development.
  • Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Java, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Oracle, Unix, junit, shell scripting, git
  • Strong experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs, data modeling with SQL and No SQL databases, and distributed systems patterns.
  • Proficiency with message brokers (e. g., Kafka, Rabbit MQ) and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and advanced Dev Ops practices.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, define architectural patterns, and mentor backend development teams.
  • Strong understanding of backend security best practices, performance tuning, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
