Partnered with an award-winning global newspaper and media client who are looking to scale their Cyber Security by hiring for a permanent Cyber Security Engineer to establish and drive the security engineering strategy and capabilities, as well as identifying gaps in security, identifying the root causes and ensuring hardware/software issues, procedures and processes are adhered to across the business.
Responsibilities
- Capture and refine information security requirements and ensure system integration.
- Report and make recommendations to security-related issues through frameworks, tools and processes.
- Translate complex technical issues and ensure a simplified approach to senior stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, define and analyse document security control requirements and recommend solutions to management.
- Enhance and track existing security processes and procedures, increasing the knowledge base of the security companywide.
- Develop, execute and track performance of security measures and protect information and network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Governance Risk and Compliance department.
Experience required
- Understanding and knowledge of security engineering requirements and best practices.
- Information security and risk management background and knowledge of security engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset and high levels of initiative are key.
- CISSP, ISO27005, NIST, PCI, CIS, OWASP required.
- Cloud security experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
