Fantastic opportunity to secure an 18 month contract role working for a major international Insurance firm.

Role

The role of IT Service Manager will be responsible for supporting Global Network functions enabling a high quality service to end users. This role is designed to capture the Run and Project costs for network, create financial plans for our newly integrated global service and systems. The successful candidate will work with the vendor manager to capture requirements from the technical teams, analyse the requirements and communicate with business units for forecasting and payments on technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the group's cost saving aims by identifying and exploiting cost saving opportunities as the company integrates more affiliates, standardises hardware and software vendors and consolidates contracts.
  • Act as an internal stakeholder‑facing role, working within the network team to integrate different business units into the service and ensuring that their vendor requirements are met.
  • Set up communications and provide financial forecasting support for 28 affiliates.
  • Partner with Network Service Operations and Engineering on planning and provide feedback on vendor solutions.
  • Be involved in the set‑up of new projects with internal customers, supporting delivery and vital processes.
  • Support a networking transformation programme by managing internal vendor‑commercial operations for existing and new group companies.
  • Build relationships, support budget management and drive evolution of the network.

Qualifications

Experience in financial accountancy or technical roles would be useful, though not required. Full training will be provided.
