Harvey Nash's Client have a requirement for the Endpoint Management Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will be responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of modern endpoint management services across the organisation. The role focuses on managing and optimising the end user device estate using tools including Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, and Microsoft Entra ID. The SME ensures that all endpoint devices - including desktops, laptops, Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD), and mobile devices - are securely configured, compliant with organisational standards, and provide a consistent and high-quality end user experience. This includes policy configuration and service optimisation aligned to enterprise governance and security requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver and support endpoint management capabilities including device configuration, compliance policies, and conditional access controls.
  • Manage application deployment and lifecycle through Intune, including packaging and distribution of software.
  • Support co-management of Windows devices across Intune and SCCM environments.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security controls, ensuring alignment with organisational security standards and risk posture.
  • Manage patching and update compliance through Windows Update for Business and associated tooling.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions (e.g. PowerShell scripting) to improve operational efficiency and service consistency.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and service management teams to ensure alignment with governance, access control, and compliance requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience administering Microsoft Intune in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint management across Windows 10/11 and mobile platforms (iOS, Android, macOS).
  • Experience with device enrolment, configuration profiles, and compliance/conditional access policies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and identity-based access controls.
  • Understanding of endpoint security principles and ITIL-based service management practices.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with certificate-based authentication and PKI.
  • Experience with SCCM and co-management of Windows 10 devices.
  • PowerShell scripting or automation experience.
  • Application packaging and deployment experience (e.g. Win32 applications).
  • Experience integrating Intune with enterprise platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Azure Monitor).
