Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Senior DevOps Engineer for an initial 6 months contract.

Hybrid to Glasgow - 2 days per week

£650 - £750 a day - depending on experience

The Role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be the technical cornerstone of an agile team dedicated to building and delivering an advanced Analytics Platform ecosystem on Microsoft Azure. Operating as a hybrid engineer, you will blend cloud infrastructure expertise with software development (Python or C# / .NET) to integrate directly into project teams. Your goal is to deliver application features, elevate code quality, and engineer robust CI/CD processes.

You will have the following experience:

  • The ability to fluidly bridge the gap between infrastructure and software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or C# / .NET.
  • A proven track record of building YAML-based pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) specifically tailored for analytics, data science, and trading teams.
  • Hands-on experience deploying apps, data pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Databricks), ML model training environments, event streaming (producers/consumers), and auto-trading solutions.
  • Azure Cloud & IaC Mastery: Deep experience architecting and managing end-to-end Azure ecosystems (App Services, Container Apps, Functions, VMs, Networking, Entra ID).
  • Terraform (HCL, reusable modules, Terraform Cloud, workspace segregation) and containerization strategies (Docker, ACR/GHCR).
  • A "Shift Left" Mindset for Security & Reliability.
