Working collaboratively with the programme team and external stakeholders, you will ensure secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions are delivered for education.

- Ensure the programme authentication platform and federated identity services and any nationally provided services are designed and deployed to meet the needs of the clients' security, compliance, and usability requirements.
- Design and oversee solutions that enable cloud-based solutions using single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), standards-based federation protocols, and user lifecycle management across multiple organisations and services.
- Lead the replacement or integration of existing technology platforms, ensuring interoperability with legacy services and new digital platforms.
- Perform and assure options analysis for new capabilities to ensure proposed solutions align with the target architecture and security strategy.
- Establish best practice approaches for delivering SaaS-based solutions, applying them pragmatically across the programme.

- Work closely with colleagues in iTECS and partner organisations to ensure authentication and identity services integrate seamlessly with Government services and equivalent environments in partner bodies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Directorates, Divisions, and customer organisations to ensure transition of services are well-managed.
- Represent the programme in governance forums, architectural review boards, and external stakeholder engagements, ensuring alignment with security, privacy, and interoperability objectives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Deep experience defining target integration/technology architectures for corporate or government services, particularly in a cloud environment and aligning these to a programme strategy.
- Experience with implementation of integrated cloud systems and data, including large scale data migration activities, complex integrations and delivery of robust security controls.
- Familiarity with identity platforms, identity standards (e.g., Azure AD, Ping Identity, Okta, ForgeRock) and their integration into complex environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based authentication and federated identity solutions at scale, ideally in a multi-organisation or government context.
- Experience leading in a multi-disciplinary team, with both business users and suppliers and large transformation programme exposure.
