Sustainability Officer| 2 Month Contract + 4 Month Ext | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (Edinburgh) | Starting ASAP Day Rate: £190 Overview: Develop a Sustainability Plan which includes the 3 fundamental pillars of sustainability: social, economic and environment. The plan should include the Care Inspectorate\’s path to net zero in line with Scottish Government\’s expectations. Review what the organisation currently has in place in terms of capturing data on carbon emissions, climate change, waste management and procurement sustainability and pull all of this together into a report. Identify areas for development and create a sustainability action plan with short, medium and longer term goals/actions. This post will report to the Finance and Procurement Manager within the Finance and Corporate Governance function. Essential Skills & Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally within the public sector. Proven track record of developing sustainability initiatives with measurable outcomes. Highly effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reporting.
