They are high quality using traditional construction techniques, and each design can be customised and personalised to our clients\’ exact needs and tastes. Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, planers, moulders, edge banders, and drills
- Produce cabinet components to technical drawings and specifications
- Set machine speeds, feed rates, and tooling to achieve precise cuts and finishes
- Prepare machinery for production runs, including tooling changes, calibration, and test cuts
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal machine performance
- Report any faults, breakdowns, or safety issues immediately
- Check dimensions, tolerances, and finishes of machined components
- Ensure components meet technical drawing specifications before passing to assembly or finishing
- Follow PPE, COSHH, and machine safety protocols
- Keep the workshop and machine areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free
- Ensure safe handling of materials and machinery
- Work closely with all departments to meet production schedules
- Communicate effectively regarding material availability, machine performance, and potential issues
