Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Wood Machinist to join our team, manufacturing Bespoke Kitchens. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to process timber and wood products in a safe and efficient manner. You will work closely with the production team to meet quality standards and production targets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate saws, planers, moulders, and other woodworking machinery
- Monitor machinery and report faults or maintenance needs
- Ensure finished products meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines and use PPE correctly
- Assist with packaging and dispatch of completed goods
- Record production data and report to supervisors
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or timber environment
- Ability to read technical drawings or cutting lists
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to precise measurements
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate machinery safely
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
