A Sheffield practice with a varied client base (including some very interesting creative clients) is looking to hire a Senior to own a portfolio of jobs from bookkeeping through to draft accounts.
Role:
- Bookkeeping for small and larger clients, including purchase and sales invoices, supplier and customer reconciliations and full bank reconciliations.
- Some foreign currency work, with multiple bank accounts in multiple currencies.
- Adhoc reconciliations such as agency, PayPal, credit card and royalty accounts.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for manager review.
- Prepare year-end accounts to draft stage, working through review notes with the Manager before finalisation.
- Prepare personal tax returns for review.
- Day-to-day client contact by phone and email.
- Occasional specialist extras, such as HMRC forms for touring acts, withholding tax forms, tour budget reconciliations and commission calculations.
About you:
- 2 to 3+ years in an accountancy practice.
- Study support on offer if required.
- Hands-on experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar, and very confident in Excel.
- IRIS experience preferable.
- Proactive, self-motivated and well organised.
