The role:

  • Review VAT returns, year-end accounts and business tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, CICs and predominantly limited companies.
  • Work with a varied client portfolio to include multi-million-pound businesses.
  • Prepare self-assessment returns, simple and complex, and help out on preparation during busy periods.
  • Manage, train and monitor your team, keeping work expectations clear and deadlines met.
  • Keep an eye on monthly billing and work in progress to hit targets.
  • Handle client contact by email, phone and meetings, including the occasional day trip to London.
  • Field general and advanced tax queries, including dividend planning, group structures, CGT, residency and overseas issues.

About you:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified.
  • Currently working in an accountancy practice. However, if you’ve moved in-house but miss practice life, we’d be glad to hear from you!

Modern offices, parking on site and the offer of working one day a week away from the office. Please use the advertised salary as a guide with your expectations discussed on application.

The firm is also looking for two Seniors so if you have colleagues at this level who may move with you, then please bear that in mind. FYI, for the Senior role, they may consider candidates at Semi-Senior level. It’s worth pointing out that we do offer a highly competitive referral scheme!
